The 3 D's An example of the first D distractions
59s
These are 2 simple examples of distractions that could potentially tempt your dog to break the command. That's why when we're first teaching with distraction training we start with SMALL distractions and GRADUALLY increase the difficulty. If your dog would break sit to gobble up the food, it's a pretty safe assumption to make that they'll probably break sit for distractions that are larger and more intense than that. There's literally thousands of distractions in our world so it's important to first begin your training inside your home or a quiet place with little to no distractions present.
